How to show Featured Image in WordPress Dashboard All Posts page

By default WordPress shows your all post summary  in Dashboard All posts page. In All posts page you can see post title,category,Author,date and time,tag,comment. But here  you can’t see posts features images. In this post I’ll show you how can show the post featured images in Dashboard All posts page.

By default WordPress Show your all post like as image below

Follow these steps:

NB: Please keep a backup your current theme function.php file before any changes.

  • Open your current theme function.php file.
  • Copy and paste this code in your current theme function.php file. at the beginning of file after <?php line or add this code at the last of the file before ?> this line.
  • function wpse_135433_posts_columns( $defaults ){
    $defaults = array_merge(
    array( ‘riv_post_thumbs’ => __( ‘Featured Images’ ) ),
    $defaults
    );
    return $defaults;
    }
    function wpse_135433_posts_custom_columns( $column_name, $id ) {

    if ( $column_name === ‘riv_post_thumbs’ ) {
    echo the_post_thumbnail( array(’75, 75′) );
    }
    }
    add_filter( ‘manage_posts_columns’, ‘wpse_135433_posts_columns’, 10, 2 );
    add_action( ‘manage_posts_custom_column’, ‘wpse_135433_posts_custom_columns’, 10, 2 );

  • save this file.

After add this code successfully in your current theme function.php file you will look your Dashboard all post page like as image below.
